6       WHAT WE DO WHEN WE DRAW UP YOUR WILL

  • Review your assets and liabilities and ascertain your current net worth.

  • Establish your requirements in respect of your estate and advise upon now best these may be met.

  • Calculate the likely amount of Inheritance tax payable assuming current rates.

  • Advise on ways of mitigating or providing for possible tax liabilities - which may be taxes other than Inheritance tax.

  • Discuss appropriate appointment of Executors, Trustees and Guardians.

  • Finalise instructions and check these with you.

  • Prepare draft Will for your approval.

  • Make any adjustments necessary.

  • Arrange a final copy to be signed in accordance with formalities laid down by the Will Act 1837 (as amended).

  • We will also hold your Will for safe keeping if required (at no charge) and provide you with photocopies for future reference.

  • It is our aim to review those Wills we hold every few years and endeavour to write to you to confirm all is in order.  To facilitate this you should keep us informed of any change of address.
